For the past sixteen years I have often had to work on the Fourth of July. This year I had off and wanted to do something nice to celebrate, without crowds and noise etc.
Well, the reading of the DOI was a really nice treat. The wife and I both attended and enjoyed all of it.
The Bethel AME choir was great!
The event was well organized and had a nice turnout.
My wife and I had no intentions of reading a passage, but Kevin Coyne got hold of us and we did. We were glad to have done so.
This is a wonderful event that I hope will continue for many more years.

I took part last year. It is a beautiful ceremony that I hope becomes an annual tradition for many more years. Sorry to have missed it.
My wife and I were in the Lancaster, Pa area - where we celebrated the 4th - with a great meal at Shady Maple Buffet!
We were home in time to watch the Freehold Fireworks and were greatful to the heavens for sending the rains home early.
