Dear Voters,
In a letter to the editor dated August 9th, the Freehold borough Republican Council Candidates requested the Democrats engage in a debate. A formal invitation was also delivered by Courier to the Chairman of the Democratic Club prior to the letter being published in the paper. The two dates we offered ( October 11th and 18th) were so the media outlets would have the opportunity to report on the event before the election. We finally received a mailed response last week accepting the invitation and requesting that we again contact them to make the appropriate arrangements. Unfortunately, due to their lack of a timely response, we will not have the opportunity to debate. By sending our invitation to debate with more than two months notice, we tried to head off problems that have plagued proposed debates between Republican Candidates and the Democratic Party. We are disappointed that the Freehold Borough voters will not have the chance to have their questions answered in a debate format, but we would like to invite all voters to join is and invited guests Senator beck, Assemblywoman Angelini and Assemblywoman Casagrande at the Park Ave Bistro, free of charge on Friday October 21st from 6-8 PM for a town hall style Meet and Greet where we look forward to answering your questions and addressing your concerns.
Sincerely,
Marianne Earle and Donald Clayton
Republican Candidates for Freehold borough Council.

Just a bump and reminder. Tomorrow night is this event. It is a great event for people who are on the fence and have not made up their minds.
Monmouth County is a republican county. It is one of the best places to live in the nation. Lets bring that quality to Freehold Borough, we are long over due.
