While it's absolutely true that the "Republicans" in town have apparently not been answering their phones about this issue, it's really interesting to see the In Jersey site's article, which would make it seem like there is only one party that can win this position...and of course, that would be the Democratic Party.
I mean...let's look at the facts...the article is titled "Democrats Gear Up For Mayoral Race". Should the Republican's in town have made at least some sort of statement...without a doubt!!!! And I say without quarrel, shame on them for not taking this opportunity to say at least SOMETHING!!
However, I'm not even going to entertain the arguments about how the media is not biased...this article could have been written a lot differently...as could the article in the News Transcript (despite the silence from Republicans in town).

Andrew, interesting points, the GOP should have had statements prepared. I am sure in time we will see more.
Your post reminds me of two funny things. First, one of the reporters had called me for GOP info under the wrong assumption that I had been involved with the party. Of course, anyone honest knows I have not been active in the party over the past couple of years so I had no answers. I wasn't even sure about who the new chair is.
As far as media bias, I have to laugh because local Dems have accused FinNJ as being a mouth piece for the GOP, also a wrong headed assumption and far from true.
Love this town, it can be fun.

Wow...you mean that Freehold In NJ is a Right Wing sounding board too??? My goodness...is there any media outlet out there that supports the Democrats or Liberals??? The funny thing is the machine has a tendency to ignore the many compliments and positive reflections of the governing body on this site. That fact isn't convenient for the small group who has no tolerance for dissent or other views. FinNJ certainly is not a slanted site, but must have done something inconvenient for the intolerant bunch we all know and love.

Sullivan & DeFonzo for Town Council Kelsey for Mayor Andrew, that is funny and yet, that ticket would be the worst nightmare for the right people. At least one of us would wind up winning. Either way, I predict a banner year for the GOP this year.
