Commission member Jeff Friedman said on March 3 that he recently offered a resolution to the commission that asks borough officials to seek injunctive relief on the property in court.
“The resolution asks the borough to demand that the owner of the building secure the building and take action to prevent its demolition,” Friedman said.
The resolution states the commission members’ concerns as to what they call a “pattern of neglect that has created a situation where this historic building is both in danger of being lost forever, as well as (being) a health and safety hazard.”
