Yesterday I posted the above info in passing. Today, I have to add a little more. I have long believed in this type of concept. I know I am not the only one, I have heard others mention this over the years. Bringing in more arts and music to Freehold Borough is a natural fit to what we have. I have said many times that this bad economy is the time to define our town for the better. I believe FBAC has potential to be a positive and influential part of good change in the borough.
This is an independent group going through the process of becoming a 501c which means a non profit. By -laws are being established as well as mission and vision statements. Plans for events are in the works as well as long term goals.
Most importantly, the people who came together with this idea are amazingly talented people with some great connections and resources. From talented singers, Broadway actor, photographers, artists, film makers, and musicians, this is a really nice mix. With the cultures we have in this town and the talent we have, this will be a very fun group to watch as they grow. I always say we need unity in our community. What better place to start than with the arts?

Attended last nights FBAC meeting and it has amazing energy. Every meeting brings in new faces, diversity and ideas. In a very short time this group has accomplished a lot. I look very forward to seeing what lays ahead in the future.
