St Peters Church began a really nice series of musical events last year. This year they are going full steam ahead, bringing quality entertainment to Freehold Borough. I had the pleasure of attending one of their shows last year and it is well done. Here is a view of things to come in 2011. Mark your calendars and enjoy! I just want to bump this thread. One of the vents is this week. Please come out and show support for the fine work that the Downtown Concert Series committee is doing. It is nice to have something like this to look forward to during this time of the year when there is little else going on.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an evening of exquisite guitar and violin duo works by Kolb, Piazzolla, Rebay, and others, on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 7:30pm. The concert will showcase a unique pairing of instruments presented in the intimate, historic setting of St. Peter’s Church in the heart of downtown Freehold. “This concert is a perfect Valentine’s Day date. It creates a musical space to settle in with a loved one and share an evening of beautiful artistry,” said Gail Reilly, chairperson of the Downtown Concert Series. Tickets for the concert are $20 and tickets for children thirteen and under are $10. Seating is limited and tickets should be purchased in advance. Concertgoers will have an opportunity to meet the artists following the performance at an informal gathering at the American Hotel, located at 18 East Main Street. St. Peter’s Church is located at 33 Throckmorton Street, Freehold, New Jersey 07728. For additional information and to purchase tickets please call 732~431~8383 or visit our website at downtownconcertseries.org. A DOWNTOWN CONCERT SERIES presented by st. peter’s church
