The Freehold Borough Historic PreservationAdvisory Commission recently heard details of the Mellon Farms proposal and gave the idea a thumbs up..................
................ Commission member Jeff Friedman said he like the proposed changes for the building. He suggested a chain link fence and placing decorative trim on the building.
“Urban design states there is a negative impact with a blank wall,” Friedman said.
He suggested that the owner have some artwork or murals or some type of design painted on the wall. He said that would add a feeling of community to the building.
It was also suggested that shutters be placed on the windows to break up the building................
