Colleen did a good job in compiling some Freehold facts based on another sites reporting. I will add another fact. We are ranked 39 for violent crime in this state out of about 600 municipalities. It has been well reported with facts on this site that we are 3rd in major crimes in Monmouth County. I know sometimes those pesky facts really get some people panties real bunched up, but that is the way it is.

The point I am getting at is that our police officers really do earn their pay. The facts back that up. I will admit, I am surprised that our OPD makes more that the median. I thought we area lower paid department.
And the bigger point behind this thread- I put it here under the police section of this site as a reminder to readers. Please take the time to review the past threads. Even with all of the crap the police in this town have to put up with, they still manage to above and beyond with so many good things. It has always been one of the pleasures of this web site to show off the great department we have here.
