Furniture Today reported that Silvert’s Furniture has hired Profit Management Promotions to conduct its going-out-of-business sale beginning today, Aug. 12. Furniture Today reported that Silvert’s President Larry Iserson said the closing of the 40,000-square-foot store is the result of an opportunity to lease the building, which he owns. Furniture Today quotes PMP President Mike Egan as saying, “A growing number of independent retailers are seeking to retire or move into new enterprises, yet many are finding it impossible to pursue viable exit strategies.” Furniture Today quotes Hector Mustafa, PMP vice president of operations, as saying that for Silvert’s, PMP is providing sales management staffing, designing and conducting an advertising campaign, and advising on merchandising and floor-space product layout issues.

This is such a well known business, its a shame to lose it.
That building a is a very nice size. I think a new Mexican grocery would really compliment the rest of the businesses in that area.
