I live in the north part of the borough in the area of the high school. All residents in this area need to read this. This area is usually quiet with few problems.
Within the past day or so, there was a night time burglary of a residence on my street. It occurred between the hours of 3 Am and 6:30 AM. Someone gained entry through a screen window and stole many items from the first floor of the house.
The home owners were home with a small child. They never knew somebody had been in their house until they found the damage.
Neighbors are alerting each other, checking their own homes for security measures and watching over the elderly. In this quiet area, we are all rattled. But we will work together. Anybody who lives in this area of town should pay very close attention and watch for suspicious behavior and call the police if necessary.
