Looks like it will be a busy meeting tonight. There may be some discussions on zoning changes. Homeowner incentive to convert rentals back to owner occupied, Investors savings Bank is looking to move into 21 W. Main, below Rosa Bella and will present plans to council. The planning board is also discussing the master plan. There may be talk about the Hepburn House. That is already covered on this site in another thread. The Bennett Street school ( former police station) has found a tenant. Ground breaking of some sort is planned for Tuesday morning. The tenant is “New Horizons in Autism,” www.nhautism.org/default.asp. The building does have several restrictions which include: · There cannot be any additions made to the front or sides of the building without the approval of the Historic Preservation Committee and no additional principal structures can be built on the property. · The historic appearance of the existing building must be incorporated into any additions. · With the exception of maintenance, there can be no alterations to the exterior front and sides of the building. · Window air-conditioning units are prohibited Also, the fire department has decided they want to pursue becoming a district. Not sure if this will be discussed, but there is a lot of talk and work ahead on this one.
