The host boards have added a very nice new feature. Under each post is a link allowing site users to report a bad post. That link will bring the complaint to a box that allows text to be added, explaining the problem with the post. All moderators will be able to view and handle the complaint.
To the Moderators- Check out the admin functions and you will find this new feature. Mods will also have the ability to warn or ban a user, always up to each individual mods discretion, depending on the rules infraction and severity.
This new feature should help out a great deal in taking moderating discussions out of threads that they do not belong on, helping us to keep topics on the intended subject.

Thank you, Brian!
I do feel the need to add some caution before using that. Again, we may not agree; we may be at emotionally charged diametrically opposed viewpoints. But that is the nature of dialog, online and in person.
We must not "report a bad post" because we don't like someone's viewpoints. A bad post is as follows: libelous statements, cursing, character assassination and hate speech and insinuation that may be rumor mongering without base of fact.
Brian and Richard have worked very hard in cleaning up the real poisonous apples that used to troll and abuse this site.

No, thank YOU, Lisa. You have been a big help as a mod too. You are always a voice of sanity. I accentuated each of us as individuals because it does add value, especially as we work together. You Rich and I do have our different approaches, which is good for the site.
The new feature is not something that I can take away, so we have it. It is another tool that simply makes our jobs as mods easier. I think we already have the needed caution in place. Our high standards will not change.
You are right about bad apples and you have dumped a couple in your time. ;D
