At the past council meeting, May 3rd, Al Michenfelder, who runs the local Racers club, presented participants of the club with awards.
A boy named Ray won first place with the most amount of votes. He received 65 votes , which was about half of all votes. Ray received a gift certificated for the Court Jester.
Another boy, whose name I did not get, won second place, receiving something from the borough library.
The Racers club is a model car club where children build cars. One crucial element is that kids must also do well in school. Students in the club learn life lessons in achieving in all aspects of their lives.
This long standing community program is on its 17th year. Al is seeking participants for next year, number 18.
