I was recently informed that the fire department has been awarded a FEMA grant for fire safety and operations. The amount is $62,145.
When I have more information, I will provide it.

A little update....Councilman Sims reached out to me and informed me that this grant has been in the works for some time. The Chiefs of the fire department pursued this grant and it will be used for new turnout gear.
Jaye is a member if the fire department, so needless to say, he is quite pleased with this.
