An additional performance will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 21 at Center Playhouse, 35 South St., Freehold Borough. Admission is $30. In honor of V-Day Freehold 2010, proceeds from the performances will be donated to the Claudia Lives On Memorial Scholarship Fund to help homeless, abused, displaced women in their pursuit for housing and stability in their lives. The goal of the performances is to raise awareness to stop violence against women and girls and to raise money for the scholarship fund. Tickets can be purchased at www.centerplayers.org or by calling 732- 462-9093. “The vagina Monologues” is a celebration of female sexuality in all its complexity and mystery. V-Day is a global movement to end violence against women and girls. The effort raises funds and awareness through benefit productions of “The vagina Monologues” and other artistic works. In 2009 more than 4,200 V-Day benefit events took place throughout the world, educating millions of people about the reality of violence against women and girls. To date, more than $70,000 has been raised through V-Day efforts.
