I have been having some very interesting off line discussions with people in reference to the code office. It appears that residents are being warned and ticketed for very obscure issues. Some people are literally in a state of shock that they have been on the receiving end for no apparent reason. This is occurring in nice parts of the borough too.
Has any other reader been seeing or dealing with this?
I am not going into specifics here for the purpose of protecting identities. But, questions are arising. Why Are good upstanding people being targeted? Has the code office finished dealing with the real problems in town? How does one-or many- suddenly come to be in the sites of the code office?
I know we all want quality of life protected and a certain standard applied across the board, but what I am hearing does not fit in with that. I am going to keep my ears open on this and hope that others will speak up about odd behaviors.
