Forceful winds leave Freehold roads snow-covered By JOSEPH SAPIA • FREEHOLD BUREAU • February 6, 2010 FREEHOLD — Plows and spreaders were out, but steadily falling snow, a below-freezing temperature and wind of more than 20 miles per hour left roadways snow-covered and slippery before dawn Saturday, here. In the Freehold area, about 4 to 6 inches of snow had fallen by 5:15 a.m., with another 3 to 7 inches expected before the snowfall was to stop around noon. The force of the wind could be seen in snow blowing sideways and flags fully extended. That, combined with the snow, left faces stinging. Aside from snowplows, the roads were pretty much empty. www.app.com/article/20100206/NEWS/100206003/1285/LOCAL09/Forceful-winds-leave-Freehold-roads-snow-covered

I put this under the governing body board because it can never be said enough about how good the town services are. It meant a little more to me this weekend because I had to make my way to the hospital while the snow was still coming down hard. Being able to get there under safer conditions because of the work the town workers did helped take a away some unneeded stress.

Hope everything is ok with you!
