www.scribd.com/doc/25381942/Jan-1910Above is the link to the agenda for tonight's meeting. I will be there and report back with the usual recap of the meeting. Now that I am no longer volunteering my time on municipal committees, I will be paying much closer attention to the council meetings and the rental board. As far as the council meetings are concerned, I am very curious about the dynamics now that we have a bi-partisan council. We have often heard that the council is not about party, but about Freehold. I look forward to seeing people live up to those claims and will be watching the interactions very carefully.

Brian,
i am very excited to see your report back, hope its fair and equal. There is no place for one sided reporting, i'm hoping you will be fair to all parties involved and im sure you will. Remember just because people may not believe in or follow someones thoughts on a topic doesnt mean the entire council is making it impossible for a member to get his ideas out there. Looking forward to your report!

Looking forward to your report! Mike, I can promise that my past style will not be changing. I will always call things as I see it, and try to get the most accurate information up here. It may be hard to believe right now, but I have received compliments from the Dem council members in the past as far as my being fair and honest in my reports on the meetings. Take a look at my past write ups on the council meetings. If anything, bet you will find a lot of favorable things from me. And as always, if people think there is inaccurate info, or something of value missing, I welcome any corrections or additions from them. It makes the thread that much better in its entirety.

I was just asking for what should be the obvious! You do allow people to correct anything that isnt accurate and thats great! Some sites are out of control!!!!! Just think a few sites have lost touch with the idea of reporting information not opinion. If a site is dedicated to a town or whatever, shouldnt the reporting be partisan, guess thats just a crazy thought!

If a site is dedicated to a town or whatever, shouldnt the reporting be partisan, guess thats just a crazy thought! Mike, I agree with much of what you say. I do want to make one distinction about this site and others. I always hesitate to say that we do any real reporting on this site. I believe DFX referred to me as a quasi journalist and he is not far off. I am certainly no journalist. Most participants here are not. While we do get stories up that are not found elsewhere, the vast majority of what you see here is more reactionary and after the fact as opposed to a news paper that prints the newest and breaking news. The emphasis on this site has always been about hearing the voice of the people above all else. Did you ever write a letter to the paper and it did not get printed? Or it got edited real bad? I have always viewed this site as more of the letters to the editor section of the paper more so than the news section. That is why we have always welcomed people with all different kinds of views. Many times I have invited people to participate who I knew would add a different flavor to things. That is vital to have them. You, Mike, have certainly disagreed with me on a few things. I hope above all else that you do realize that your views are welcome and you have never been degraded for a view point. AS far as factual information, Yes, it is so important to get people to correct bad info. I know I miss things and I have never turned down a correction or addition to give any topic a more complete vibe to it. Again, go back and reread old threads about council meetings. Yes, there may be some opinion, but most of it is favorable and all of it contains factual things you will not see elsewhere.

brian, i wasnt putting you down as an admin, just making a point or view. Everyone is entitled to there thoughts and its great they vocalize them, its making fact into lies that is a huge problem, give credit were credit is due! Not saying that to you, just in general!

Mike, I didn't take anything as a put down. Like I said, you and I are in agreement. We all want the same things. Anyway, I am going way off topic and we haven't even discussed the actual meeting!
