Just out of curiosity does anyone feel that the state and or county elections across the board beyond NJ is a message to President Obama? I have heard and read many columnist and reporters say that America has sent Obama a message, what do you guys think?

That has been the talk on all the news channels. Virginia and New Jersey were being looked at as indicators of where voters are going in response to the job of President Obama and congress. New Jersey went redder than usual this election and that is out of character for us.
I am not sure if voters in NJ really had Obama in mind when they voted. He is still popular here. I think the New Jersey races really were about New Jersey. Obama couldn't save Corzine. People are fed up with the corruption, taxers, and so many other things. This was a clear message to all politicians in this state.
At the federal level, it will be interesting to watch Obama/Reid/Pelosi vs. the blue dog Dems. Will the president go more to the center to maintain party control? IF not the GOP will pounce next year. Speaking of the GOP, they had better do a better job of standing for something.
