We have mentioned many times that when one restaurant closes, another takes over in no time. In this economy, that is a good thing to see.
FYI, Franelli's is now open, at the location of the former Lorenzo's.
The location that housed Goodfella's has plenty of work going on and we are supposed to see San Marzano.

More restaurant updates....
It has been reported that South Street Steak House closed. Mega bummer!
Also, I have been watching the Inn on South Street where the former South Street Victorian was. Dove by last night and all the lights were out at a time when it should have been open. Is it closed or does it have odd hours? I did not think it would last even thought it was a good place.
The former El familiar has changed names. It is now called Texas Mexican restaurant. I assume it was an ownership change? it was a good place when it was El Familiar. Anybody been there since?

I heard the Inn closed too.
Meanwhile, with El Familiar -- maybe the problem was that people just weren't too familiar?
/yeah, yeah, lame, I know. It was worth my chuckle as I sat here and wrote it.

I have been meaning to get there but haven't. I have heard it is pretty good. Sometimes its hard to keep up with all the places we have to eat.

Texas Mexican (El Familiar) is still the same delicious spot. Actually, all the items on the menu are a few bucks cheaper and there are a couple less entrées. Good stuff....enjoy!

South Street Steak House is to be replaced with a new restaurant called "Nuova Luna" Italian with a twist. Opening in early March.
