In a bit of bitter news, BOE member Andrew Defonzo is leaving town for a while. His job is taking him out of country for 18 months to two years. Obviously, this means he is not running for council this year.
I understand this to be a temporary move that will require him to leave his position on the BOE.
I just want to say thank you to Andrew for being a great member of our community and serving us as he has. Andrew has Freehold running though his blood and like all our elected leaders, wants the best for this town.
I am sure that we will see Andrew back in his home town when his tour is over.
