This is post is being done off of the top of my head, so I do not have specific details at hand.
I received a letter in the mail from a company stating that they would obtain the deed of my house for me. It would cost about seventy dollars. If I got this letter, I figure other people in the borough did too.
I read in a news paper that this is not a service that most people would need. ( I don't recall which paper because I read too many every day)
If a person wants to get a copy of their deed, it is easy enough to do on their own and it only costs a few dollars. I do not think this complany is doing anything illegal, but it really is not a needed service for most people.
The letter in the mail was well done and profesional. It came across as a necessity, but is not. If you get this solicitation, just throw it out.
