This article is a reminder of why we should respect our police. They have to deal with things that 99 percent of the population could not. www.app.com/article/20090615/NEWS/90615061/-1/WLOCALNEWS/Man+tries+to+kick+window+of+cop+car+after+arrest++police+say+FREEHOLD — Police arrested an Asbury Park man whom they say became disorderly, tried to kick police officers, then kicked out the window of a patrol car, authorities said. Christopher L. Moore, 20, of Adams Avenue, Asbury Park, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Friday on Haley Street. Police were called to the Haley Street Apartments because of a reported fight, and they stopped a vehicle driven by Moore, said Lt. Mark Wodell. He said Moore became disorderly, so Patrolmen Darnell Esdaile, John Reiff, Mark Garahan and Sgt. Michael Sweetman tried to place him under arrest, but he tried to kick the officers. On the way back to the police station, Moore kicked out the right rear window of the police car and tried to jump out, said Wodell. He said Moore was subdued, brought back to headquarters, and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. He was released on summonses. The police car sustained about $1,000 worth of damage, said the lieutenant. At the apartment complex, a 22-year-old Freehold woman and a 17-year-old Asbury Park girl, who had been in the vehicle with Moore, were also charged with disorderly conduct. Police said the pair became disorderly when officers told them to get out of the car because it was going to be impounded for lack of insurance.

These people are so stupid it's comical, or they were on something.
Yeah, waking up everyday and knowing that this is the nonsense you may have to deal with at work takes a lot of strength. Definitely gotta give credit where it is due.

I actually had two people send me this link. One was wondering where the LLA is in supporting our police. Why the silemnce now? Either way, this is another link that belongs under " Our Cops have guts" Our police have to deal with these charming losers that 99 percent of our population could not. www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=200990617054FREEHOLD — Police have arrested a borough man and are searching for three others, who authorities say used bottles, sticks, and rocks to attack two men last week. One of the victims, a 39-year-old New Brunswick man, suffered two broken vertebrae in his neck and needed stitches to close a wound under his chin, police said. He is recovering from his injuries at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township, police said. The other victim, a 30-year-old Freehold man, suffered minor cuts and bruises in the Saturday attack, authorities said today. Police said they are still trying to determine a motive for the assault, which they believe occurred around 10:15 p.m., near the railroad tracks, behind a vacant home on Institute Street. Police were called to the area about an assault. When they arrived, they found the 30-year-old borough man outside, and he told them he had been assaulted by men who ran into the nearby woods, said Lt. Mark Wodell. Officer Sean Healey checked a nearby abandoned home and noticed the glass pane of a back door was broken. Police said they went inside and found the second victim on the bathroom floor, covered with blood. Police believe that victim broke the glass pane to get inside the house, so he could hide from his attackers. The victims told police four men approached them and began to punch and kick them. After they officers gave a description of the men, Officer Eduardo Santana identified one of them as Jose Luis Mejias Hernandez, 21, of Avenue A in the borough, said Wodell. Mejias Hernandez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and simple assault. He was sent to the Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, with bail set at $102,500. Police are still searching for the other men involved in the attack. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Michael George at 732-462-1234. Officers Brian Ruegger and Ed Loksa assisted in the initial investigation.

And yet, another fine example of the great work our police department does. This also highlights why it is so important for the police and community to work together. It works. Average everyday citizens should keep all of this in mind the next time we see mindless and baseless attacks on our police department. www.app.com/article/20090807/NEWS/90807017/1004/NEWS01FREEHOLD — Police arrested a Lakewood man who they say burglarized a West George Street home Thursday afternoon. Police said they were able to quickly apprehend Barry Walker, 30, of East Kennedy Boulevard, because of an accurate description provided by a witness and good work by a patrolman. Around noon, a witness called police and said she saw a man acting suspiciously at a West George Street home. The witness gave police a description of the man, his clothing and the vehicle that he drove away in, said Capt. Glenn Roberts. When officers arrived at the house, they found an open window, and a television on the front porch, said Roberts. The interior had been ransacked, he said. Meanwhile, other officers began to look for the vehicle, and Officer Sean Healey spotted it on Schanck Road in Freehold Township, police said. Police arrested Walker, and charged him with burglary, theft and possession of burglary tools. Inside the vehicle, police found some of the stolen items, said Roberts. Detective Chris Otlowski handled the follow-up investigation. Walker was sent to the Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, with bail set at $50,000.
