The exhibition features a boardwalk showcasing an early wicker boardwalk cart from Asbury Park and a variety of period costumes. Other items on display include: • The guest register, flatware and serving pieces from the Hotel Panacci. • A croupier's chair from Daley's Gambling House in Long Branch. • A rare stock certificate for shares of Long Branch's Iron Pier, built in 1878. • Silk and wool bathing costumes from the 1920s • Turn-of-the-century glassware and ceramic souvenir pieces from the George H. Moss Jr. Collection. • Graphic images and photographs illustrating the history of lifesaving in the area. Details: 732-462-1466.

Main St. Tamm also is scheduled to speak at 1 p.m. May 30 at Monmouth County Library headquarters, 125 Symmes Road in Manalapan. Tamm was raised as the "Chosen One," destined to be the perfect disciple of the guru Sri Chinmoy, who was based in Queens. At 25, she was banned from the cult.
