There was (yet another) BOE meeting last night (love this budget time of year), which means I missed out on going to the Town Council meeting.
Can anyone give me a rundown of what was discussed?

I have received one tid bit of info. Supposedly, Wasser showed up pithing the BOE budget for the regional. Our share is going up 6/10 of a percent.
Supposedly, Tom Baldwin had a few words fro Wasser. This is one of those times where I wish Tom would participate on this site. It would be good to hear what he has to say.

What...nothing from Tom Baldwin about our K-8 budget? I feel left out somehow??!!! I mean, we're raising our share by over 2%...surely that should have gotten something from him?? No sign of him at the school board meeting either...strange that he would pick only on the Regional's budget??  |

No sign of him at the school board meeting either...strange that he would pick only on the Regional's budget?? If Tom could be in two places at once, I am sure he would try. To his credit, he gets out to meetings. I have a hunch that the Wasser sighting was a real surprise for everybody. |

I have now heard from a couple of sources that there was mention by the Mayor of our local K-8 district's budget also being passed by the BOE. Interestingly enough...both sources also mentioned that he seemed...miffed...by the fact that there were 2 dissenting votes on the BOE.
I'll hold my comments on that one.
