So a couple of young men were walking my street the other day to "let us know" there would be trucks on my street this week due to a job they were doing. They offered to give me a free estimate on siding. I was really distracted and consumed with another visitor at the moment so I tried to quickly shoe them away. They were persistent though. So just to get them to leave I agreed to the free estimate.
From there, they had to call their headquarters and schedule a time for me to get my estimate. They insisted it could only be at a time when both me and my wife were available. Then they took my info. I gave them my phone number and then they made me sign a "Do Not Call" list waiver. Boy was that a mistake. I have gotten a number of robo calls from this company ever since. I finally was able to reach a human from the company and I canceled the appointment for the estimate after researching this company a little bit. It seems their real business is selling your number and the DNC waiver to telemarketers.
Incidentally, I see no evidence of PWS doing any work in my neighborhood. I think this is all just a scam.
Do yourselves a favor and do not deal with this company if they approach you. They are a nuisance.
