This topic popped up. The polls on this site never do well, but lets give it a try.

All I ask is that at least three people vote. I will abide by that decision. I will not vote.

FYI, I voted incorrectly and retracted my vote. I vote to invisible. Let them sign up to see. Let them sign up to see everything. There are a lot of people that have signed up, but don't post.

From some weird reason, I can understand your CIC perspective. It is for different reasons, though. For me it is about what that issue has done to our town. Nobody in their right mind can say that Illegal immigration has been good for the town.

As far as the negativism toward the governing body, there isn't that much. Most of it comes from disagreement more than anything. I know some of them and like them, but don't always agree with them.

The bottom line, the governing body is not always right, unless you ask them. Dissent is good and healthy when directed at those who represent us as long as there is no character attacks etc. maybe one day they will even listen!

For now, some of us await the day when we say we were right. (nya nya nya nya nya nya)

Speaking of the hidden board, there will be some interesting information posted next week. It pertains to very local issues.

Now is a good time to revive this thread with the poll. As per the vote, I left that thread hidden to all but registered users. The Illegal Immigration thread had slowed down in use anyway. We have not had a post on that thread since May and even before that, it was a little used board for some time.

Until today.

One of our newer participants put up a very good post that is thought provoking. AS I have mentioned before, there are issues in this town that are unresolved and at some point will have to be discussed. Somebody has to do the talking, why not here?

I could leave the II board hidden, move the post to an open board or open the II board all over again. Personally, would hate to have a well thought out post go to waste.

What say you readers and participants?
