"Every town has its faults and sore points. The spirit of this web site has always been to provide and open and fair look at Freehold Borough. It is with pleasure that so much of this site is dedicated to the good aspects of Freehold Borough and the great people we have in this town.
For the purpose of balance and honesty, this page, The Hall of Shame, will focus on the bad parts of our town. Things that reflect poorly on us all will be the focus. When progress is made on any given subject, that will be noted.
This page should be viewed as an open challenge to all of us to make a positive difference.

Just a couple of observations about two of the topics found on the Hall of Shame page.
I noticed a work truck at the Exxon station the other day. Today, I noticed the security fence is gone. Is this a good sign that forward movement is about to happen? I figure it has to be a good sign because that site cannot get worse. Can it? If anybody has info to share let us know. It would be nice to see some progress.
The second HoS issue is the muster zone. I don't pass it often, but did so to see how it looks. It was looking better than it has in the past. The fence was in better repair, the trash was off the ground and bagged for pick up, and all but one chair was off of private property. I have to wonder if someone is looking to be a bit more co-operative and realize there are others in this town who want it to look good. I do not support a muster zone, but if someone is trying to better it, they do deserve credit. It would not take much to get this issue off of the Hall of Shame. Considering that the town is finally looking to spruce up Throckmorton, I see no reason why we should expect anything different. Again, if anybody has info on this , let me know or post it yourself.
