The site has hit a new milestone. The home pages reached 50,000 hits. For a site that has spread by word of mouth and is not heavily advertised, that is a significant number.
I wish the message board had an all time hit counter. That number would be far, far higher. When I compare the visitors to both the home pages and the message board, I see that less than a third of visitors to the message board come through the home pages. So think about it. Even if all visitors came through the home pages, a conservative estimate would be that we have had 150,000 hits.
For as little site that has both played a role in causing a bit of trouble and educating people as to what is going on around town, we are going strong and will continue to do so. This site is for the people and by the people. The reason why this site will never be passe is that all voices count here. We the people do not get that anywhere else in town.
