THIS IS A CALL TO ANYONE OUT THERE WHO WANTS TO VOLUNTEER
We are still hoping to raise more money at wecare.chipin.com/ramospetner
Currently, we are now up to over $1200 on the site, and I have collected an additional $200 in checks made payable directly to the family.
So far, the generosity has come exclusively from individuals.
It is time for the local businesses to step up to the plate, and I have an idea that I know will work.
The ideal person to volunteer for this is someone who is available during weekdays. If you have the time and initiative to spend one or two afternoons on this little project, please email me at kevinasadi@gmail.com and I will give you the details.

I have the ChipIn page set to end on February 17th. So I plan to deliver the money after that time.
Still no volunteers for my idea regarding getting businesses in on this effort. :*(

Once you have given the money to the family, I am adding your link and mention of your effort to the donations page on the home site. For me, those kind of posts and topics which help the community are what make this site worth the time. I hope that this site has played at least something of a roll in helping your effort. It is a worthy cause. www.freeholdvoice.com/donations.html

This site, the APP and NewsTranscript have all been key in getting the total donations up to a significant amount.
The more people who see the web page, the more people donate, which is excellent. I am proud that this and other efforts to help the family have been successful. It says a lot for us.

I was more than happy to help people to be able to support their friends, neighbors and former neighbors. Besides a certain generous contribution from Virginia, I received one from San Antonio, Texas. Amazing.

You did a great job, Kevin. How much did you raise for the family and how were they doing when you met them?

You did a great job, Kevin. How much did you raise for the family and how were they doing when you met them? We raised a total of $1,935. They are a very warm family, and I am so glad I got to know them a little bit. Very strong spirit and unbelievable sense of humor! They are holding up as well as anyone can expect in the circumstances.

I took the liberty of moving this and the other thread related to this topic to the volunteerism section where it will remain more visible. I also added mention of this on the Donations page found among the home pages. www.freeholdvoice.com/donations.htmlThe above is one of my favorite pages. I always welcome people who participate here and help fill that page up. And again, Good job, Kevin, and everyone else who helped.
