A Shop 'Til You Drop community holiday shopping event will be held at the Freehold Jewish Center, 59 Broad St., Freehold, from 5:30-9 p.m. Dec. 11. Items for sale will include jewelry, accessories, clothing, home décor, more. Free admission. Details: 732-462-0254
• First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118 West Main St., will hold its eighth annual Christmas Cookie sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 13. All cookies are homemade. Details: 732-462-9667.
• The Freehold Borough Policemen's Benevolent Association No. 159 will conduct its 11th annual Santa Train event from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Freehold Center bus station, Throckmorton and Main streets. Santa Claus will arrive by train at noon. All children in attendance will receive a photo with Santa and a candy cane or toy at no cost.
• The Knights of Columbus will host a Breakfast Buffet from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 14 at its Council Hall, 70 East Main St., Freehold. The donation is $7 per adult, $5 per child under age 12. All donations are used for council charities. All are welcome. Santa will present gift bags to all children under the age of 12. Santa's Helpers will be taking complimentary pictures of all children. Freehold AAUW seeksused book donations
Donations of used books are being accepted for the annual Freehold American Association of University Women used book sale. Adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books are welcome; textbooks are not accepted. Profits from the sale are used by the Freehold AAUW for national and local scholarships and local community projects.
