Tonight was the Christmas Tree lighting in front of the Hall of Records. This was the first time I had ever attended this event and it was very nice. There was a nice sized crowd there listening to the Freehold high school band playing Christmas music. In attendance were Freeholders and council people as well as many residents.
On top of that there was a lot of media, including New Jersey 12 cable news. They did a nice feature on the event and hopefully it will air. Definitely very good press for our town. Of course, it was all topped off with the arrival of Santa Clause.
This is always a great time of the year to be in the borough. AS we finish off the SPOOKTACULAR, we head straight into many very nice holiday events in town. Our town is truly filled with spirit for these couple of months. Take the time to get out and enjoy all of the events. Don't allow the season to get away without getting to at least a couple of the town events. It is worth it. I will place them all on the calendar as a reminder.
