Keep an eye on the new South Street Steakhouse opening at the site of the old Portabellos. I hope it is a good one.
Funny, all of a sudden our glut of Italian restaurants in town is dissipating. Lorenzo's and Portabellos both bit the dust this year. Interesting. I'd like to see a Thai Restaurant in town, next. Had two terrific Thai dinners over the weekend. There's an excellent little Thai Restaurant that just opened on Taylor Ave (Rt. 71) in Manasquan called Basil Thai. Very good.
The other good Thai meal we had was actually at a Japanese Restaurant on Rt. 35 in Shrewsbury. It's in the shopping center next to the Eastern Monmouth Library. The Thai food there is superior to the Japanese food they are really known for.
Thai in town, would be a good culinary addition.

I had the best steak I ever had at this restaurant. Service was outstanding and the food was out of this world. Everything was fresh and served perfectly. ;D ;D ;D

The Town really needs a Vietnamese Noodle Soup shop. (Usually including the name "Pho" in the title. Pronounced "Fa.")

The prices are the usual for a quality steakhouse. My wife and I each had an appetizer , ribeye steak and rack of lamb, one side dish, one dessert and two caps. Tax and tip $130.
