This month, about 20 unlocked vehicles parked on the streets and in driveways in the borough have been burglarized, said Lt. Mark Wodell. Items including GPS units, credit cards, loose change, and sunglasses were stolen, he said. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the detective bureau at (732) 462-1233.

Don't lock your doors, leave valuables on dash, GPS ext. Wait in the back seat under a black sheet with bear spray, a club and a pair of hand cuffs. Citizens arrest
