Freehold man indicted on charges of running facility to modify stolen autos for sale

FREEHOLD — A borough man has been indicted on charges that he ran a facility out of his home to modify stolen automobiles for sale, almost seven months after police said they found drugs and stolen vehicle parts in his home.
Robert Zybura, 30, was charged in a recent indictment with operation of a facility for sale of stolen automobiles or parts, alteration of motor vehicle tradmarks or identification numbers, possession of a motor vehicle or parts therof with an altered trademark or identification number, theft of movable property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
On Jan. 18, a joint investigation by five law enforcement agencies resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Zybura's Monmouth Avenue home. The search turned up drugs, stolen vehicle parts and dynamite, police said at the time.
Zybura was charged in the indictment with stealing motorcycles and motorcycle parts, and with possessing Vicodin and/or Xanax. The indictment also alleges that he operated a facility in his home to remodel, repaint or separate automobile parts for the resale of stolen automobiles.
