My suggestions regarded determining potential savings in energy costs (while going "green," at the same time), sharing more of the health insurance costs with employees wherever possible; targeted department budgetary cuts (5-10%) Marc [/quote] Coming from one of the highest paid council members in western Monmouth county who just voted for an additional $16.67 per month (like you realy need it)... "sharing more of the health insurance costs with employees wherever possible" This is known as a "Give Back". Council members taking more while we are giving more is not leadership. Its being a phony! ************************ FREEHOLD — Police are searching for the assailant who stabbed a borough man in the abdomen in a Bond Street backyard Sunday evening. Around 7:50 p.m., police were sent to the home after a caller reported a fight involving about a dozen people, said Lt. Glenn Roberts. When police arrived, they found several men in the backyard, amid scattered broken beer bottles, he said. One man was on ground and appeared to injured, said Roberts. The resident of the home, Jose Solis Vasquez, 27, gave patrol officers a false account about what had occurred, and he was charged with obstruction of the administration of law, police said. Police conducted more interviews and determined Eli Argueta Vasquez, 32, of Marcy Street, was stabbed with a small knife, said Roberts. After the 32-year-old was attacked, several other people tried to disarm the assailant, the lieutenant said. Police have recovered the knife, but are continuing to conduct interviews to determine who stabbed the victim, said Roberts. Detective Sgt. Timothy Jablonski is handling the investigation. Argueta Vasquez was taken to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township for treatment. He and the Bond Street resident, Solis Vasquez, are not believed to be related. *************************** Meetings with the Latino Coalitions Neighborhood Beautification projects .... Quality of Life Committee Raising Taxes Getting Raises and bonuses. Bodies found on Railroad tracks or in the Lake Topenemus Shootings, stabbings .... Can someone explain why the hell this is going on and who and what are they doing to correct this ? I am FED UP with trying to stay calm, remain civil..... "do the right thing" . Drive down Ellis street and get a load of the home five or six houses down on the right going towards Mike Wilsons. Mexican Flag hanging out the second story window- Front door wide open Baby Carriage on porch with a sofa and their kids all over Ellis on bikes WITHOUT HELMETS. I along with several others are TRYING to sell our homes and this is the wonderful press coverage and sights potential buyers see? This town is falling apart and we need REAL people to step up clean it up and take it back ! They want a lawsuit for discrimination- I say "bring it on" WE ARE BEING THE ONES DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ! When are we going to STOP TALKING and START DOING? I'm tired of being afraid of a Lawsuit- We need a lawyer with guts.... not some friend of a friend . Am I one of the FEW looking at the boro without ROSE-COLORED glasses? like some of the comments coming from the people-fb website? Come on people....you pay taxes here! Stand up for your town- Not run like a cowering dog with your tail between your legs.

Wow, that's one miserable son of a you know what, who posted that!!!!! Ha ha!
How exactly does one get bones ripped OFF your back anyway? Aren't they inside? At least with my body, they are.
What is the point of this post anyway? It makes absolutely no sense. There's like three things going on in it. It's like a bad soap opera (well actually, all soap operas are bad)

I rather agree with MrPR1981 on this one, Richard. Well -- I agree that it will be nice if this poster channels his or her frustration into responsible action. Having said that -- I don't see the post as bigoted. I see it as the frustration of a resident who is angry with conditions not of his making, and unsatisfied with efforts to change those conditions. He wrote -- what innumerable citizens think and say on their porches, in the coffee shops and in conversation. That's reality. Now -- hopefully he will channel that energy toward change. My welcome message was not an endorsement, but one of welcoming a new member to the site. In my opinion -- his rant -- of a highly political nature, is exactly the type of rant that often leads frustrated people to blog sites and action. I will monitor, of course, for rule compliance. Unfortunately, not every post here can be shiny and happy.

Richard, I beg to differ. If you have heard other stuff that has come out of her (yes, it's a her) mouth, you would certainly want to grab some Clorox toilet cleaner.

How exactly does one get bones ripped OFF your back anyway? Aren't they inside? At least with my body, they are. It's a Sprinsteen reference to Born to Run, and I would assume applying the song to Freehold. In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway american dream At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines Sprung from cages out on highway 9, Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin out over the line Baby this town rips the bones from your back Its a death trap, its a suicide rap We gotta get out while were young `cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run

Well -- I don't know the party -- obviously. I can only act on what I have here before me. As you know -- I will follow closely and act if I feel warranted. I'm not shy.

Thanks, Novillero, for posting that. I had not even thought of that. Love that song!
But the fact that she used this great song for such vitriolic, hateful commentary, I'm sure would be appalling to The Boss.

À la recherche du temps perdu: CM, You really did some digging for that link! I deleted it because I really do not want to re-ignite that issue. And have no fear, bad behavior from the past may be forgiven, but never forgotten. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

Steve wrote in another thread....
Hi Bobbi,
Thanks for your answer. I definitely agree with you on a lot of the points you mention. Definitely don't take it the wrong way if I inferred that you were a racist or bigot. I was just basing it on what I had read from you before. I think it's great that you worked with the Hyacincth Foundation (great one) and World Vision. I also think it's great that you've stayed with your job for 23 years--something many people cannot say. That must be an exciting job.
As for your home sale, then it may just have everything to do with the economy. People all over are not having any luck with homes in general. And I wouldn't doubt if it's also the realtor. We've heard from many people that many realtors don't exactly do a wonderful job trying to talk nice about the Boro.
That is great about your daughter! She sounds very motivated. Congratulations.
Bobbi, I think you have some great thoughts and I agree with almost everything you said. You're right that people don't respect their environments, and the town, and they basically trash it. The only thing I would say, and you did a great job of it here, is to channel your frustration better. Sometimes you can have a good message but can be presenting it the wrong way. Don't get me wrong--I'm not saying that you should be happy with all of that going on, but at the same time, just use a bit more tact when complaining about it. It will get more people to listen, I think. Because if you're doing all this great stuff and have a good message (I'm not doubting these by the way, I'm stating that you do), something is not right if your image, according to lots of other people, doesn't reflect that. Thoughts?
Steve,
That is a very good response from you. I know both Bobbi and her daughter, (who is a great kid) and I am certainly glad to see Bobbi here with us.
Bobbi came out with frustration that does exist in this town. A frustration that should never be put down or demeaned. We have our warts and we all know it. The key to success in this town is looking at our faults head on and dealing with them without rose colored glasses. Our success also means looking at the great people and aspects of our town and running with it. The community pride committee is an awesome example of that. Moving forward is all about balance.
Anyway, all voices are welcomed here as long as they are sane, civil, and Freehold.

It depends if you are including the number of posts from someone with just one username (like me) or the number of posts of someone altogether with ALL of their usernames (like some other people).

Bobbi-- You probably would realize if you gave it some thought, only because I know you both know each other. It's somebody who has obviously mastered the use of proxies to hide his true identity, because if his true identity came out, he wouldn't be able to achieve what he wants. I'm going to leave it at that, because I respect the rules of this board And Lisa S, might ban me!!!!

No...I'm afraid Steven makes a valid SECONDARY point. To gain additional credibility, the FV MUST move to ban the use of Proxy sites. Those wishing to post from more than one IP MUST be required to send an email to the moderators, providing that IP address. If you are traavelling - send an email to the moderator regarding the hotel IP you may be using, etc.
There are way too many people with single views wanting to seem like armies building concensus! It's destroyed Topix (that site has ZERO credibility - it's a joke! A place where many crazies) go to play!) and you don't need that here!
Any postings being received from PROXY sites should be removed and that address must be BLOCKED. I am told that PROXY's can be identified - so they should be banned.
Marc
