www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080715/NEWS01/807150326/1285/LOCAL09FREEHOLD — Police are searching for the assailant who stabbed a borough man in the abdomen in a Bond Street backyard Sunday evening. Police were sent to the home about 7:50 p.m., after a caller reported a fight involving about a dozen people, Lt. Glenn Roberts said. When police arrived, they found several men in the backyard, amid scattered broken beer bottles, he said. One man was on ground and appeared to injured, Roberts said. A resident of the home, Jose Solis Vasquez, 27, gave patrol officers a false account about what had occurred, police said, and he was charged with obstruction of the administration of law. Police conducted more interviews and determined Eli Argueta Vasquez, 32, of Marcy Street was stabbed with a small knife, Roberts said. After the 32-year-old was attacked, several other people tried to disarm the assailant, the lieutenant said. Police have recovered the knife but are continuing to conduct interviews to determine who stabbed the victim, Roberts said. Detective Sgt. Timothy Jablonski is handling the investigation. Argueta Vasquez was taken to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township for treatment. He and the Bond Street resident, Solis Vasquez, are not believed to be related.

This would seem like a perfect opportunity for Frank Freyre and his fellow Latino Leadership Alliance members to step up and help these Latino residents get the justice they deserve.
Let's hope Frank and the LLA will volunteer to help out in any way possible to let everyone involved know that it is right and just to identify the man who stabbed Mr. Vasquez to the police department so that they can do their job and arrest this assailant.
The LLA recently held a press conference in which they brought a spotlight on the apparent difficulties felt in the Hispanic community when reporting crimes. Well, here we have a crime having been committed in the Hispanic community and apparently the police are not getting full cooperation from those who witnessed the crime.
Again, let's hope Frank Freyre and the LLA step up to the plate and show that they are made of more than just words.

Do you really think FF will help the police? There's nothing in it for him.
