WOW! What a shame to hear about Wayne. I never met him when on the CIC. He left us early on and I was absent when he was there. We did speak on the phone one time and he had a really good, upbeat attitude about the CIC and especially Freehold Borough.
I am very sorry to hear about such a young person passing away.

How does one get "smited" for paying respects to a dear old friend, who passed away at a young age? Well...let that be the FIRST International "smite" on the Freehold Voice! In any case, please allow me to be the "Freehold Voice's" very first international correspondent, if I may. That's worth an "exalt" or two. Betsy and I are having a ball in wonderful Montreal, Quebec. What a terrific place to visit. I was last here with my parents back in 1973 and remember very little from that visit. What I can tell you all is that if you haven't been here before, think of visiting Paris. It is very European and very historical. We have seen alot...and eaten alot, too - mostly excellent food, might I add. The main feature here, currently, is the International Jazz Festival, which I highly recommend. There are over 150 concerts going on around the city, including several marquis performers, such as Steely Dan, James Taylor and others. Many of the open air performances are free and there is plenty of great talent on those stages. We've seen some great Jazz and Blues performances and plan to see a few more, tomorrow. We leave here on Monday morning. In between the concerts, we've toured Old Montreal and visited several historic sites in the area. We also visited the Montreal Underground (33K of underground shopping, including a great food court with over 30 restaurants - great for lunch. There's plenty to see and you need more than a week just to see many of the most highly recommended places. Unfortunately, the dollar is very weak here and already dropped from 98 (cents on the dollar) to 95 cents -just in two days. It's still worth the trip though. I look forward to returning home and seeing many of you early in the week. Have a good Sunday! Au Revior, Marc
