www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080616/NEWS/80616010FREEHOLD — Police are investigating a report from a 25-year-old borough man, who told them a robber approached him, stabbed him in the chest and snatched his wallet early Sunday morning. Police learned about the attack when employees at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township called them about a man who was being treated for minor stab wounds, said Lt. Mark Wodell. The 25-year-old victim told police he was walking on Ford Avenue around 3 a.m. when the thief approached him from behind, stabbed him in the chest with an unknown object, then reached into his pants pocket and took his wallet, which contained $300. The borough man was treated and released from hospital. Detective Michael George is handling the investigation, and anyone with information about the case is asked to call him at (732) 462-1234.
