This is a poll out of left field- I like it. One ice cream truck missing is Weezer. I don't think we have them in FB but they are very annoying.
Usually when I hear the ice cream trucks I turn my electric guitar waaaay up. The neighbors really hate me.

This was a really great poll! It provided some appreciated humor for Betsy and me, over the weekend. More on this (how/when we heard about the poll), in a moment The "Hello!" truck has been a family joke since it arrived on the scene more than a year ago. To us, the "Hello" sounds like a cross between the demonstrative announcement of my sister, when she enters our house with the same kind of annoying "Hello" (instead of knocking!). It also sounds alot like my mother-in-law, who sings "Hello" whenever we arrive at her condo to visit. Steven, the corniest almost 27 year old that I know, really gets a kick out of hearing this thing go by and he drops everything when he hears the truck enter our street. He has gone so far as to video tape it and has also found a video clip of this truck on - where else - but Youtube! www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Kx2qQBqWb8 Nothing like hearing the annoying thing played over and over again at 2 in the morning along with a man laughing out loud with his friends on the telephone! But, I guess if someone else found it funny enough to post it on Youtube, it has a universal appeal - or should I say a universal annoying effect. In any case, Betsy and I were having dinner, last night, at the new Falafel place on Main Street (Ibby's, by the way is very good!) when my cell phone rang. Steven and his business partner are driving out to LA, but on Saturday they broke down in Arkansas, on the way to a planned stop in Austin, Tx. They managed to limp into a Chevy dealer in Dallas and leave the car there. The car has a broken accelerator. The friend from Austin drove over and picked them up in Dallas and then, brought them to Austin, while the car is being repaired. I suppose during some downtime, Steven checked the FV site and saw the poll on Ice Cream trucks. He was hysterical and had to call us. So, I guess the FV provided him some long distance entertainment and gave us all a few good laughs! Marc

Marc,
That is a good post. I am glad Steve got a kick out of this thread.
The funny thing about this, the Hello truck has done its job. Even though we are talking about the most annoying ice cream truck, all of you, and many others, have that "Hello" burned into your brains.
Sounds like successful advertising.

Too funny. ;D Actually, the "hello" one doesn't bother me. "The Entertainer" one brings back traumatic memories of taking piano lessons when I was eight, instead of being outside and playing ball. What's the other one I've been hearing lately. It reminds me of "Low Rider" and I half expect to see Cheech and Chong when the thing comes by.
