I just got a great letter from a resident near Center Street regarding the Neighborhood Pride Committee. I'm leaving off her name and the other names mentioned in the email, so that they do not feel uncomfortable. It is a nice email and a great idea I will share with the NPC. If we all work together, we CAN make a difference one step at a time...

I read with great interest the Asbury Park Press account of the Neighborhood Pride Committee's consideration of Center Street as its initial project. I think this is a terrific idea. I have enclosed a copy of the write up with a letter I wrote to the owner of the property that runs from Center Street to the Mechanic Street extension and behind the Jackson Street Strip Mall. This is the second time I have contacted Mr. XXXXXX about the use of some of this property for a community garden. I think a Community Garden would greatly enhance our neighborhood and I have been encouraged by members of Freehold Beautiful and the Chamber of Commerce to attempt to secure permission for this use. I haven't received a reply as yet, but I haven't given up either.
For your information I'm attaching a copy of the letter I sent to Mr. XXXXXX.
