As I have mentioned many times, the work on the home pages has begun. Today there are two new features I have added. The first is an endorsement for the fund raising that resident Andrew DeFonzo is doing for two good causes. That endorsement is found on the front page of the home site. The second is a page dedicated to the rebirth of the American hotel. This should be viewed as a positive. As time goes on I hope to have an on-line archive of the progress that we will see on the American Hotel. www.people-fb.com

For those who come straight to the message board, please check out the home pages. A resident forwarded some really good pics of last years Memorial Day Parade which I posted on the home pages. I hope this gets people in the mood to volunteer on Saturday and then join us all for the Parade on Monday. www.people-fb.com

I have since rearranged a few things. Putting Hall of Shame over the marines is not a wise move.

Never even noticed your home site before. Nice job. I especially like the inclusion of the Hall of Shame.
Great pictures of all the flowers. It looks really nice downtown, and it will only get better as the flowers grow into themselves.

New pics will be added today to the home site. A couple on the American Hotel, which is looking better everyday, and a new one for the Hall of shame. Would anyone like to guess what will be in the hall of shame today?

Would anyone like to guess what will be in the hall of shame today? Brian, I agree with your most recent addition to the Hall o' Shame. One quibble with your caption, if I may... beyond the one-time cash infusion from the sale of the property, the sale also served to put the property back on the tax rolls, providing a new ratable that will also preserve one of the town's dwindling stock of historic public buildings. Good points, Cheryl. The site in question does appear to have hope and some good has been promised. It is in the Hall of Shame because I am a cautious optimist. All sounds well, but until it is up and running, we all have to be vigilant. I have been around government way too long to think otherwise. Besides, just look at good old Exxon.

Just a little update about the home pages and the use of pictures...
I am actually very pleased with feedback that I have received. In the very near future, I will be adding more pictures to the home pages. Several people have responded and sent some really good photos. I will not say who at this time, but one source of pics was a very pleasant surprise.
There will be better pics of the parade, and down town planting as well as other topics.
One very interesting note, with the inclusion of the Hall of Shame, there has been very little in the way of contributions for that page. Only one person has sent pics for it and they were of the Exxon. That person, as well as others, have been good in sending pics that fit under Borough Pride. In other words, the responses I have received are all about the good parts of our town.
This is all a true reflection of the Freehold Voice

What is a bored admin to do? Put more pics on the home pages! Take the time to enjoy some new pictures on the "Borough Pride" page. There are some new pics from the volunteer planting which were sent to us from Jayne Carr of the Freehold Center Partnership. Also on that page is a much more thorough photo album of the Memorial day Parade. Take the time to really enjoy it. I put pictures up to represent a real cross section of the parade, the crowd, the participants, the surrounding buildings, elected leaders who were there, committee people who were there and so on. That page may take a second to load. When viewing the photo album, click on any picture and it will enlarge. Click right or left on that picture and you will go to the next one. Also added, some more pics of the American Hotel. Again, contributions from Jayne can be found here. She sent pictures taken from the third story of the Court Jester which came out good. The home site also has pictures that have been provided by Marc LeVine and Ted Miller. The group effort is always best. www.people-fb.com
