www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080424/GETPUBLISHED/804240691This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Freehold Intermediate School. To commemorate this milestone the administration and board of education are planning a very special event on June 13, 2008 from 7 to 10 p.m. The event, 50 Years of Borough Pride, will be held at the Freehold Intermediate School. "The planning committee needs the help of the community in finding people who graduated from the Freehold Borough district in the last 50 years," says Elizabeth O'Connell, superintendent of schools. "We are also looking for memorabilia to borrow for exhibits. We are all very excited about celebrating this anniversary in district's history and the planning committee is creating some fun and educational events." Items such as yearbooks, report cards, athletic wear, books, class photos, and other school-related items would be appreciated. All residents of Freehold Borough are invited to attend and learn about the 50-year history of the school. There will be activities for both children and adults. Check the district's website, www.freeholdboro.k12.nj.us for additional updated information. Please contact Freehold Intermediate School main offices at 732-761-2158 to lend memorabilia or with information about the graduates from the last 50 years.
