Lt. Glenn Roberts said the program for adults and children will give police a chance to talk about rules of the road, with respect to bicycle safety. It will also give residents an opportunity to meet local police officers, he said. Employees of Jack's Bike Shop will be at the school to inspect bicycles and offer maintenance tips, Roberts said. Police also plan to give away free bike-safety gifts. A translator will be on hand for Spanish-speaking residents, he said. For more information, call Roberts at (732) 462-1233. Michelle Sahn
