Well -- I take note of one major problem over which Freehold residents have no control -- but which is a clear indicator of what is wrong in NJ public schools. 1) Why make a list of teachers based on seniority? Who cares how long one has taught? I care about how well one has taught. This issue continues to destroy public education. No one on the planet earth believes that mere seniority equates to a better teacher, or a better anything. Experience certainly has great value -- no doubt, but it is irresponsible to make selections based solely on that mandated criterion. It's ridiculous. Like most school systems, Freehold Borough could benefit from fewer administrators, and a better mix of excellent, hungry, young educators.
