Some highlights of council business
Last night was the second reading of a resolution which created and established a new committee for Freehold Borough. This will be know as the Community Information Committee. The resolution passed.

An ordinance was authorized amending chapter 8 ( Garbage, refuse) which would require that trash be placed in front of your own residence and not someone else's.
For Leelye
An amendment to the shopping cart issue was made that will charge retailers twenty dollars for every shopping cart picked up by the Boro and one dollar for each day the cart is in the Borough's possession.
Danielle Sims was appointed to Zoning Board. She replaces Dr. Eileen McGough
James Richmond was appointed as our new police officer. From what I understand, he has served our town with code enforcement and the road department. Good Luck to Mr. Richmond!
The junior firefighter program had several appointments. Jeremy Hoffman, Thomas Krause, Monique Best, and Julia Kologe. A very nice start to a much needed program.
