Among the highlights on tonight's council meeting agenda are the second reading of the Historic Preservation Ordinance and a reading of the old Police Station redevelopment ordinance. There is no specific buyer nor specific use for that property, as of this time. However, there are several preferred uses that offer low impact to the site and the local residents.
Just an FYI.

An addendum to my earlier post.
Regarding the old police station. Some of you wondered, in the past, why the schools weren't interested in re-using the building for school space. They, in fact, did look into it as an option, but the building required too much structural work, including ADA mods.
I'm quite sure that if they did use the building, they'd want add to more administrative staff, since the building is off-campus from the Learning Center and Park Avenue Schools.
Hopefully, we'll get a good ratable over there, that will fit nicely with the neighborhood.
