I just wanted to let you all know that leaders from various local gay advocacy groups were in town today based on outreach I made this week.
First of all, they loved Freehold Boro and have a lot of respect for me because of my company. They had nothing but good things to say. They said that we have a really nice offering of high-quality and diverse restaurants, many storefronts that can be turned into boutiques (they said the sizes of many of them would be perfect for that), the ability to turn many of the offices or above-front storefront rentals into lofts, and they also mentioned that there are a lot of rentals throughout town that they want to invest in.
They want to also outreach other groups and so forth about getting members of the gay community to take an interest in Freehold Boro. One leader mentioned that there is a wealth of potential to turn this town in a great direction and that we have the downtown already established, as well as many beautiful homes that just need some work. They also said that they are surprised this hasn't already happened and envision this as maybe the next town after Asbury Park to go through a renaissance of sorts.
Great news for our town! I'm so happy to share with all of you! They also may have someone who will open up a dance club or nice bar too.
I'll keep you all posted!

Steve,
That all sounds erally good. Definately keep us all informed. You know that we all want to see some good quality people take an interest in this town and help us all have some pride in it.

Steve~ I couldn't agree more with Brian. This sounds WONDERFUL! As a former resident of Asbury Park and a current resident of Freehold Borough, I would love to see this happen! (even if I wasn't a former resident of Asbury Park, I'd like to see this happen!) Lauren

Hi Lauren, That's wonderful. I love hearing positive comments (or constructive criticism) and you always seem to be a positive person. The more people get behind this, the better our town will be. I would love to see a thriving town with a lot more to offer. We already have the potential and our town is far from a ghetto, but if it keeps moving backwards like it is doing (and I wouldn't really blame the town's government for this...I think there are bigger problems at hand. Blaming the mayor and council is pointing the fingers at the wrong people, in my opinion), it will end up far worse. We've got to take back the streets. Steve

Haha Geo.
Ali isn't even funny. That's the sad part. If he/she were funny, then we'd be talking.
