Casual disagrees with those who think only locals or longtime residents can criticize what is going on in an area.
Several of the People dudes and dudettes have made this point.
Why our own beloved Kelso dude lives in a big mansion in the mountains of Virginia.
Someone was mentioning that some of the advocates and the hispanics are only here a short time -- So what? I have been here for almost five years -- I have a right to speak out as much as a guy here all his life.
This is a sly technique to keep others out of the debate -- most uncool.

Casually Newbie Yes -- but even from the foot hills of Virginia -- the nice thing about this site is everyone gets a say. We get to make arguments, and those arguments can then rise and fall on their own merits. That is the essence of debate. I do agree with you that the merit of an argument is not determined by the age of the person proffering the argument, or the length of one's residency in any location. One might put more credibility on certain arguments depending on a host of factors. For example, if you were going to argue history with the town historian -- your argument might ultimately be better -- but you have an initial hurdle to leap in credibility. The PEOPLE site -- which the socialist Workers World site called "Racist," is a free and open site for idea and ideals of all quality and form. It is actually an open site. The irony, which I am sure is not lost on a clever dude like you, is that the PEOPLE site allows dissenters and open debate -- while the LLA site is practicing exclusion and discrimination. Dude -- that's totally hypocritical -- would not you agree. Your a smart fellow -- you seem to have accurately sniffed out the Ballew dude!

Casual--
If they don't pay taxes to our town, since they don't live here, then I definitely feel that the people, you know, actually living in Freehold and paying taxes have a say...
Considering this is a local issue, then the only comments that really matter are those of the town. We're the ones that have to deal with everything, not the other people who go back to their own towns.. That's just the way it is.. I would never think about going to another town and telling them how I think they should run it, unless it was something that had an effect on my town, or was something beneficial.
