CHEER FIGFY I have Verizon FIOS. It's great. The picture quality is unsurpassed. (I also have HD Satellite with Direct TV. No Comparison) They are still working on catching up on some al carte program offerings, and the Verizon DVR is no Tivo -- but it is pretty great. My community in VA is wired all Fiber optic through the heads and back to Verizon signal input -- so there is truly no degradation of signal.

Thank RK!
I an about the 2nd Fios install in the boro (last Aug), coming off DSL, I am a little gun shy about the TY broadcast, I also have Direct TV, and if I make a switch, I may need to visit my roof to haul down the Dish, and fill in the holes, which I am in not that mush of a rush to do.
Also, own my satellite box's so I have a hardware investment too!
I am waiting to hear about (or see), the difference!!!
Thats one yes vote from RK!
FIGFY!

I got rid of the DSL a month ago and the fiber optic line is superior. Much faster and no problems.
We currently have the digital cable. Although it has a lot to offer, we have found the quality can go south at times. Pixilations, picture freezing, slow response, etc.
We are very optimistic about going fiber for the television.
